About Elemenopee

Elemenopee, hosted by the Millspace for this summer, is a bright and upcoming program for aspiring young theater artists. It was started and run by the seacoast’s own Lilly Hirsch, Max Cavanaugh, and Nick Tavares. They strive to create insightful and meaningful connections through theater of all forms, and are motivated by pushing students and young artists to experiment, be brave, and learn more about the art and themselves in a creative and empathetic environment. This summer, thanks to our friends at the Millspace, we are offering a multitude of opportunities for aspiring performers, actors, dancers, and artists. We can’t wait to work with you!

Lilly Hirsch

Lilly has been actively involved in theater and dance since an early age and is continuing to study at Marymount Manhattan College in New York City. She has been involved in numerous different studios and now attends classes in the city, such as Broadway Dance Center and Gibney Dance. Locally, Lilly has worked with theater companies including Upside Arts, Prescott Park Arts Festival, and The Players Ring as a performer and in some spaces choreographer. She is so excited to work with Millspace and share her knowledge with this new youth program!

Nick Tavares

Nick Tavares is a native seacoast theater artist from Portsmouth, NH. He has played many different roles, both on and off stage, at various different venues, and is thrilled to continue providing theatrical experiences for kids. Most recently, he is a camp director for the Hackmatack youth camp. He too has seen just how powerful Theater is for children, and, for the past 5 years, has focused on cultivating youth theater in the sea coast through various camps, companies, and opportunities as a director, musician, playwright, technician, and performer. Recent Directing and music directing credits include: Annie and The Addams Family at Camp North Star, Elf Jr. and Day Camp shows at Upside Arts, and Frozen jr. at Portsmouth Middle School. www.nicholastavares202.wixsite.com
