The Lamprey Arts & Culture Alliance and Millspace Gallery present UNDERGROUND, an exploration of what’s buried and what lies beneath our feet. Bugs, lava, bones, caves, water… what else is under the ground?
Artists are invited to submit up to five pieces that depict, embody, or are inspired by the theme.
HOW TO SUBMIT
Submissions should be emailed to gallery@millspace.org by August 6, 2023 with the title “Underground Submission.”
The email should include your name, an image of each artwork, and the title, medium, size and price of each submission. (Please account for a 40% commission on all sales to LACA, the volunteer-run non-profit hosting this event. For LACA artist members, this is reduced to 35%.)
To confirm your submission, please send your $5 entry fee to LACA at tinyurl.com/MSGallerySubmission (Submission fee waived for LACA artist members.)
Deadline to submit: 8/6/23 Notification of acceptance: By 8/12/23 Exhibition dates: 8/19 – 9/17
Please note: Drop-off and pick-up of artwork must be arranged by the artist. Millspace Gallery is not responsible for loss or damage that may occur if artwork is delivered outside of the dates specified by the gallery director. Artwork must be ready-to-hang when delivered; this means paintings, etc. must be wired, and any specific hardware needed for hanging sculptures, etc. must be provided by the artist.
