The Caterpillar Lab is coming to Millspace!

The event is a travelling exhibit show featuring hundreds of LIVE caterpillars displayed on their native New England food plants for open observation.

Features include:

•      Hands-on exploration for all ages

•      A technology station, with close-up looks at real-time footage of intriguing caterpillar behaviors (such as molting)

•      Ongoing side programs, including art projects, cocoon openings, and caterpillar show-and-tell

•      Inspiring, educated staff to engage and guide a wide audience

•      Fine art photography on display

The Caterpillar Lab is a New England based, nonprofit organization that is passionate about showcasing the amazing diversity of Northeastern caterpillars. The Caterpillar Lab fosters greater appreciation and care for the complexity and beauty of our local natural history through live caterpillar educational programs, research initiatives, and photography and film projects. They believe that an increased awareness of one’s local environment is the foundation on which healthy and responsible attitudes towards the broader natural systems of this world is built.
