Love Letters

Saturday, February 12 | 7:30 pm

Get in the Valentine’s Day mood with LOVE LETTERS!!

Re-imagine a time when handwritten letters still meant everything and emails and texting didn’t exist. A romantic time when waiting for the mailman to stop by your house was full of anticipation and celebration. Join us for this play that follows two people connected by love letters throughout their lives.

Andrew Makepeace Ladd III and Melissa Gardner, both born to wealth and position, are childhood friends whose lifelong correspondence begins with birthday party thank-you notes and summer camp postcards. Romantically attached, they continue to exchange letters for over the course of 50 years. (Circa 1930-1980) This story is told through words of love, laughter, loss and life…not to be missed!!!

This is a special performance as it will be starring Newmarket’s Aimee Gigandet and her long-time love, Bo Sellers. Aimee has been performing throughout the seacoast in various productions over the years and has a background in theater. Bo hails from MA where he has been a music performer for many years. For those that know, Aimee, you’ll know she is also a driving force behind the celebrated Newmarket Recreation Department and is passionate about building community and the arts.

Grab dinner at one of Newmarket’s fabulous restaurants before the show and celebrate love locally!
